Description

Candida albicans is a yeast-like fungal parasite inhabiting the digestive tracts of nearly all adult humans. Normally, candida peacefully co-exists with other microbial passengers in our bodies. Candida has been linked to disorders ranging from bad breath to depression or anxiety.

Candida albicans infections are a cause of major health problems. We find about 60 percent of our patients are affected. Common symptoms associated with candida include:

  1. Digestive issues diarrhea, constipation and bloating
  2. Excessive cravings for sweets and sugars
  3. Difficulty concentrating (“brain fog”)
  4. Fatigue, lethargy and apathy
  5. Anxiety/Depression
  6. Frequent infections
  7. Headaches
  8. Skin issues like hives, seborrhea, psoriasis, and skin rashes
  9. Nasal congestion, excessive phlegm, and sinusitis
  10. Hypoglycemia

Your results will show the level of IgG, IgA, and IgM antibodies in response to candida albicans.

There are four easy steps:

1. Order the Candida test, and it will be delivered to your doorstep

2. Complete a simple blood spot sample collection by doing a quick finger prick at home

3. Mail your sample back to the certified lab using the included pre-paid shipping label

4. Receive your results within just days on a secure platform

Normally you will get your results 5-7 business days after the lab receives your test kit.

Food sensitivities can often be caused by an overgrowth of candida, which is a yeast that can cause cracks in the intestinal lining, increasing permeability and leading to leaky gut syndrome. If you are eating foods to which you have a sensitivity to, it may be contributing to your candida overgrowth. Likewise, there are certain foods that may cause an overgrowth of candida in the first place.

If you’d also like to test food sensitivities, you can add that test to your cart below.  There is no need for additional blood sample. This means you only have to pick yourself once at home for both tests. To learn more about food sensitivities, click here.

Our Integrative Nutrition Health Coach will be in touch with you regarding your results. After you receive them, and if you find you have any questions, you have the opportunity to schedule a Health Consultation via phone. This “virtual visit” is intended to help you understand what your results mean, which foods you may need to eliminate and for how long, and/or what types of meals or snacks may be best for you to manage candida.
